I'm sure the brave Iranian women being beaten and imprisoned for refusing to wear the hijab appreciate this gesture

It’s a kick in the teeth for them

Its very similar to the Catholic Church they do or used To? Cover their heads in church. Jacinda is just showing respect. Something a lot of critics wouldn’t understand. As far as I’m concerned Jacinda can wear what she wants... move on.
-
If you go into a Hindu or Sikh temple you cover your head out of respect for their culture. I presume the complainers are also against bridal veils? And those nuns!
-
Exactly - and those dog collars ministers of religion wear? Some people must really struggle just walking down the street with all this different clothing others are wearing that they find so threatening

And if Jacinda Ardern hadn't worn a head covering to be culturally appropriate, you and National would be attacking her for not being respectful. So sad NZ is full of precious wee petals who just can't handle having a female PM when they're stuck with pathetic Simon.
-
Oh boy you are soo wonderful with all you say. I feel exactly the same as you. No matter what Jacinda does there are complaints because of a female. They can all go to pathtic Simon Bridges. Who wants them.!!!!

Nope.... virtue signalling Canadian PM Justin Trudeau has been ridiculed many times for this kind of stupid behaviour. We think he might be a male. (To be determined). Why do socialist "leaders" dress up like this?pic.twitter.com/dG5Xf2UvOJ

And in the meantime.. Iranian women are sharing videos of themselves removing their headscarves in public, despite a recent ruling they could face 10 years in jail for doing so.pic.twitter.com/zaVnelDgyd

Interesting how Saudi women don't dare to do this. Because stoning to death.

but would islamic women wear western dress for a show here?
-
no and why should they have to if it goes against their religion?
-
so religion usurps our culture and dress?
-
it’s not that, it’s just a matter of respect for another religion
-
Religion means nothing. Its made up stories about fake people before we knew correct science.
-
i agree, but society believes in religion therefore we must respect it

When you lack your own identity, you fetishize foreign ones.

Does she have to...really? Under Sharia Law, she should not be showing her hair. The Hijab is a symbol of oppression for many women and also a sign of compliance to the Sharia.
-
Did you complain when other leaders dressed in appropriate clothing for the countries/cultures/people they were meeting with, or do you just save it for female leaders?
-
Nope, Justin Trudeau was also rightly ridiculed for dressing as a bollywood star when visiting India
