MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) (10/11/2018) - Four Mid-Michigan hospitals are taking on new names to incorporate the statewide Ascension brand.

The changes are part of Ascension Michigan's efforts to integrate its brand across Michigan.

The hospitals affected are:
-- Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc Township will become Ascension Genesys Hospital.
-- St. Joseph Health System in northeast Michigan will become Ascension St. Joseph Hospital.
-- St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center in Saginaw will become Ascension St. Mary's Hospital.
-- St. Mary's of Michigan Standish Hospital in Arenac County will become Ascension Standish Hospital.

All Genesys, St. Mary's and St. Joseph medical facilities and offices also will adopt the Ascension name. All of the name changes will take effect later this year with new signage and branded materials.

Rebranding Ascension hospitals and medical facilities in Michigan started two years ago in Southeast Michigan.
