言うまでもなく実験系って肉体労働なので、山形先生の言うように一日18時間ラボに拘束され土日なく働いたら結構な数の学生や研究者が心身を壊すことが予想されるんだけど、沼研を再現したとしてその人たちの人生や未来はどうするつもりなんだろう？ついてこれなかった脆弱な個体だと切って捨てるの？

21世紀で平成が終わろうとしている今の時代に切り捨ててはい終わりなんてできるものなんだろうか？今は1980年代ではないし、だからこそ今この時代に沼研の再現なんて言うことを言い出すのは沼先生や私の先生よりはるかに質が悪い様にすら思える。

沼研出身の私の指導教授は夜10時に電話してきて明日論文草稿見せるお前がなぜ早く帰るのかと問い詰めてきたり、日曜夕方に何か指示されたけど兄弟子がラボに来てないから物理的に無理だと説明したら「なら今から呼べばいいやろ」と家庭持ちの兄弟子に電話して今すぐ来いと命じてみたり。

彼の師である沼先生本人と比べたらはるかにマシではあるがそういう問題ではない。メンバーみんなの士気が下がった。彼と彼の妻（助教）のメンバーの動向を監視するような行動は異様な感じだった。無理やりひとつよかった点を挙げるなら教授とその妻以外のメンバーの結束が強まったことか。
