Many of you will remember Apple’s ill-fated iTunes phone collaboration with Motorola before iPhone was released in 2007. But I doubt many are aware of Apple’s collaboration with Hyundai in 2015 spotted here in Dêrîk, believed to be the forerunner to Apple’s own self-driving car.

Not to be confused with the much more successful Nikkee brand of sporting apparel, Niek are an emerging brand gaining popularity across North-Eastern Syria. (Note the unfortunate spelling mistake on the tongue of this pair from an early production run).

SDF must call for their own safe zone inside Turkey, 50km-100km deep. Size of the safe zone matters, not just who’s going to be in the zone. The demand must include SDF forces inside the zone due to ’s security concerns against an aggressive neighbor. Negotiate right.

The Suruç massacre should be remembered by the international left just like Utøya & Orlando It was a mass murder of a socialist youth organisation on its way to show solidarity with the people of Kobane who repelled ISIS. Their murder was sanctioned by the fascist Turkish state
