3. #BREAKING: Talks finalized today between Turkish and US officials on establishment of safe zone in northern #Syria. Turkish, US officials agree northern Syria safe-zone will be a "peace corridor" and agreed on establishment of a joint operations centre as soon as possible.

8. Turkey's Defence Ministry says a 6 member delegation from the US has arrived in #Sanliurfa. It's due to begin preliminary work on a Joint Operation Centre, to establish a so-called peace corridor in #Syria close to the Turkish border, an area currently under YPG control.

10. Slightly confusing statement about the depth of N.#Syria peace corridor. Def Min says Turkey wanted 30-40km, the US offered 10-15km but in a phone call between #Trump & #Erdogan, Trump said 20 MILES which is 30-40km. I actually wonder if Trump confused km & miles?!

11. A few thoughts on the current state of the N.#Syria peace corridor plans between Turkey & US. Both sides are still deliberately vague enough over the main points of contention up until now for any meaningful assessment as to whether what’s happening now is genuine progress...
