YPG aside, even if you don’t find yourself supporting the guerillas of Syria it’s blatantly obvious that her reports on Syria are entirely threaded in a pro-FSA narrative. Not even pro rebels who are anti-Assad but literal T-FSA Turkish jihadis.

Please don't tell me you support Russia and Assad?
-
Not at all, but I also don’t support Turkish backed fighters who have perpetrated genocide and ethnic cleansing of Kurdish, Syrian and Yazidi civilians in Syria.

Not literal members. Same ideological vein but they’re not Daesh.
-
- Daesh patches on their shoulders
-
I know what’s on their shoulders. It’s the Seal of Muhammad is the style of Daesh. But these are Jaysh al Izza members.
-
I think the point is that technically you are correct but in practice there is no significant difference between these Jihadists & Daeshbags.
-
Everyone, everywhere should oppose Salafi jihadists. Whether they're part of ISIS, HTS or any other group. They all want to impose a barbaric form of Sharia & eliminate all who aren't with them.

ISIS hijacked the seal of the Prophet the same way Nazis did with the Swastika. Not everyone wearing the banner automatically means they are ISIS. Don't you have some Öcalan worship to do?
-
While that is true, it's understandable there is confusion by those who don't study the different rebel factions. You don't have to be rude when pointing out an error

the "x to own the Assadist twitter" crowd is so silly, the only correct take on Idlib at this point is factional defeatism and support for accountability
-
What do you mean by "factional defeatism"?
-
similar to the concept of Revolutionary Defeatism but while this doesn't say much regarding scale the warring directly armed/equipped factions become nigh unsupportable/impractical to support
-
It's sad that Tsurkov's own reporting has shown that many and maybe even most Syrians living in opposition-controlled areas, even those who hate Assad and/or the government, want the armed groups to stop fighting
-
She published this just a year ago, but it doesn't seem to have changed her support for the opposition armed groups https://www.regthink.org/en/articles/the-breaking-of-syrias-rebellion …pic.twitter.com/lUMSZphvDb

These aren't members of ISIS. Only one person is parroting racist propaganda here, and it's you, not Elizabeth.

"Literally isis" except they're not. They are syrians though unlike all the western islamophobic twats screaming for their blood
-
No they're not IS they just wear IS badges, profess IS Takfiri ideology, and historically fought alongside IS (as JaN). Same thing, they are disgusting people who want to oppress women, Yazidi, Christians, Kurds, Shia, etc. Have no place in a democratic Syria.
