Syrian rebels (Fath al-Mubin op room) vow today to keep defending the totally destroyed Kafr Zita, Hama, as regime & Russia pound the town. Note how young they are, reflecting the typical composition of opposition factions at this stage. These young men have known nothing but warpic.twitter.com/MU1AEiZpnq

I find it very hard to believe that this is Jaysh al-Izza...
-
Jaysh al-Izza has been very close to HTS for years. I know this from Jaysh al-Izza commanders and observing closed online interactions between members.
-
I know that, but usage of this cammo and patches is seen way more in lines of HTS, while JaI uses revolutionary flag lot more and I didn't see HTS members with revolutionary flag nor JaI members with this version of black standard...
-
Thanks for picture. Uniform/Plate carrier are very much used in rows of JaI...

Lol that’s like saying ppl wearing Nazi patches are not Nazis. They just do it for fun.
-
the Nazi symbol was unique, ISIS appropriated popular Islamic symbols
-
The Swastika was not unique, it had a long history as a good luck symbol across large parts of Eurasia and can even be found in many pre-Nazi European buildings and art. ISIS may have taken more popular symbols but the Nazis were not using anything unique. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika#Northern_Europe …
-
You are welcome to wear it around in the west. Let’s see the reception you get.
-
Well that was part of what I was trying to note. Saying the swastika has a history doesn't mean that if you wear it today people won't assume (probably rightly) that you're a Nazi.
-
People wear it in Asia all the time, and they aren't Nazis. I always smile and laugh to myself when I see it. It's cute.

So not ISIS, but close to HTS (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, formerly Al Qaeda in Syria), so some kind of Salafi Jihadist, but technically not ISIS. Technically.
