Indeed. I'm quite often running the same search twice, because of UK vs US spelling differences. (Should use OR, I suppose).

regular expressions are the best for streamlining a search, but sounds like even the API didn't support it as of this comment in 2014 (last updated 2016)https://stackoverflow.com/questions/23363940/using-regular-expression-in-twitter-api …

I have found min_id:1111111 and max_id:222222 to be interesting for narrowing in smaller than a day.

Occasionally min_retweets:100 as well, for finding popular tweets.

my friend groused about getting to many wrong but similar results, IE a yugio card had a same name I told him about the -exclude flag in advanced search & his mind was blown. This was a technically ept person so it's nice to share these sort of things
