[CIV5]EUI and InfoAddict together?

So I have been using InfoAddict for quite a while already, and have recently downloaded Enhanced User Interface as well. Everything is going fine and dandy, I absolutely adore all the information I have right on my fingertips. However, there is one problem: The "Check InfoAddict" button is right on my minimap, blocking a large portion of it. Is there any way to get rid of this without removing either mod? I have aleady read up on this, and it seems that this didn't use to be the case in an older version of EUI, but the question is if it is worth it to downgrade EUI. What features exactly would I lose by doing so? Has someone maybe found another way around this? I refuse to believe that not more people are bothered by this compatibility issue between the two most common sense mods I can think of.

Info Addict v22: should be compatible provided EITHER: EUI's "LeaderHead" module is disabled, OR: Info Addict's .modinfo file is manually edited to replace "InGameUIAddin" by "DiplomacyUIAddin"

Taken from EUI's download page on Civfanatics, provided you're using the stable version from August. I'd have to play more games to see if I could suffer from what you're dealing with, but I'm not sure it would happen to me in a reasonable amount of time.

Info Addict's .modinfo file is manually edited to replace "InGameUIAddin" by "DiplomacyUIAddin"

I can't believe the fix is this easy and I haven't read anybody mention it until now! I did some testing, and I THINK I can confirm this. Though I can also confirm that this doesn't seem to work with the DLC version of IA. Thought admittedly, I did very little testing.

I'm in the middle of publishing a game, so I don't want to screw with my game too much right now. However, once that's finished, I think I will be testing this out more. I might try and do a manual conversion of IA (with this fix) to DLC form myself to see if that's possible. It would be nice to finally have a simple fix for this that doesn't require people sacrificing EUI features.

In the meantime, for those looking to roll back to 1.26, I've offered that here. Although you can, as mentioned, just delete LeaderHead if you want to continue to use EUI 1.27b/c with IA.

I've done this, and it appears to be working. Thanks!

Not only does this solve the issue of IA not working well with EUI 1.27, it also solves the problem of IA crashing the game a lot during reloads and exits! I've released a modpack with this fix in place, giving you credit for the info here. How did you figure this out? Or where did you read it? I'm still shocked that it's so simple and effective, yet with all the talk of IA and EUI not working together, this is still the only time I've heard this info.

I have your exact problem with the "infoaddict" button on the minimap using the last version (30th august)...i've fixed this using the 1.26 version (the last one right now is the 1.27). U dont lose nothing

This would make the military units Patrol the borders of your civilization, around 1-3 tiles away. I think this would be much better than simply leaving them on alert for the entire game, and would let you spot barbarians/potential attackers sooner.
