I am sure it is mostly regime mukhabarat and IS. It is very much doubtful the rebels could sustain guerilla/assassination campaign in Daraa given their lacklustre performance in this exercise in others provinces.

The rebels never managed to get something like that going during 9 years of conflict while they are getting completely gutted by assassinations from their enemies. Be it from the regime, IS or the PKK.

Good point. At least I suspect that contrary to some analysts who tend to see most if not all of the killing as done by a new FSA insurgency only a substantional minority can be sourced to RFSA..

Assad could simply arrest them to torture them. They never kill people humanly, with a bullet. And it’s unlikely isis, even if unlikely resurgent, would go after kolabos. I think it’s the Resistance dealing with the traitors “reconciled”.

Haven't heard any credible reports of Assadists executing ex-FSA or reborn FSA. Just Revolutionary hit squads.

If they are from one group, then likely it is a vengeance from some of their victims, who's relatives being kidnapped or raped by this group.
