You can def blame Trump. He's the one who pushed ICE to deport more vulnerable people. If calling out the president for shitty policy makes you like him more than your just as shit as he is.

Prior to 2017, Iraq did not repatriate nationals under final orders of removal, except in unique cases. After they found themselves on the travel ban list, John Kelly made repatriating one of the conditions Iraq would need to assume in order to be removed from the list.

He had either committed a crime or failed to comply with greencard requirements, or both. I hate it for him, but since he wasn’t a naturalized American, he should have been on his best behavior or should have become a US Citizen. Let this tragedy be a lesson.

Nope. But it’s a lesson for grown-ass men to take care of their legal affairs and abide by our laws. I hope he inspires immigrants to take care of their affairs before something tragic like this happens to them too.
