Yes. A student can attend grade 9 and 10 in different schools under CBSE. When moving to a new school for grade 10, the student must have passed grade 9 at the previous school. Further, the student must produce a valid transfer certificate duly countersigned by the educational authorities concerned. It is better to do the transfer before July as schools need to register students with the board.
CBSE has not prescribed any age criteria for admissions to grade 1. However, parents are expected to follow the minimum age requirement as prescribed by the state government. Similarly, parents are expected to follow the age criteria prescribed by the state government for students appearing for grade 10 exams.
The minimum percentage of attendance required by CBSE to make the student eligible for grade 9 and 10 exams is 75%.
