Back in the days 's Nusur az-Zawba'a troopers even used hell-cannon-style mortar rounds during fighting in (pic is from Oct 2016) In fact, this is quite a lot of firepower compared to what they normally use on the ground

THREAD: This is the only thing I’m going to say about the disingenuous articles / takes flying about recently saying SDF has no trust in Arabs. Make of it what you will. I just spent nearly two weeks in Syria. I travelled to almost every part of Rojava and to Raqqa and al-Hol.

Indeed a good comment, but for another reason. SSNP - at least technically - isn't Baathist, does not follow Pan-Arabism but Pan-Syrianism. Makes it even stranger that they refer to his "hatred of Arabs", although SSNP sees itself as a multi-ethnic force

member Saeed Mahdi Rizq was recently killed during an Inghimasi attack in N SSNP's press release not only blamed his death on "the Jewish enemy" (as always) but also on Turkey. Erdogan is called a "neo-Ottoman [...] possessed by radicalization & hatred of Arabs"
