I don't know if it is genuinely deradicalizing, but HTS is changing its rhetoric & some elements of its behavior (e.g. not kidnapping foreigners anymore). I think that al-Jolani wants to remain in power above all else & willing to adapt to ensure this.

Whether it is genuine or not that is the million dollar question. Unfortunately research of influence on civil life by rebel factions has abruptly dropped in favour of military and geopolitical developments lately, which could provide part of the answer on this question.
