    All forms of communication remain blocked in valley; mobile services, fixed line services, mobile internet, broadband, cable TV —everything Barred. Curfew, like never before imposed across valley. People in one neighbourhood don’t know what is happening in another neighbourhood.

    A Kashmiri journalist tells me that all foreign journalists have been asked to leave by Monday. Not sure if this official. Also, not sure if there’re any foreign journalists currently in the valley. Mind you, foreign journalists require permission to work in Kashmir.

    I depend on many independent sources in for all the updates on the valley. If the reports of blocking communications are true, I am afraid there won’t be any updates coming out from this account. Whenever something happens in Kashmir, Internet becomes the first casualty!
