Anfal was a campaign in 1988 that Saddam Hussein's regime ordered against the Kurds. This is one of many mass graves that have been discovered in recent years.

The victims were wearing Kurdish attire at the time of their death. A milk bottle can be seen in the grave indicating that even infants weren't spared.
