    Undiplomatic opinion time: I die a little inside when I see the likes of Erk Acarer having access & able to interview ISIS prisoners held by SDF. The published interviews are interesting yet more sensationalist than informative. Waste of an opportunity.

    I swear, Turkey collected missile defence systems like I collect designer shoes. Unnecessarily expensive, not really practical, only used one in a blue moon and actual sole function is to show off to anyone nearby.

    The way in which many Turks (from all political persuasions) are almost gleefully turning on Syrian refugees is deeply disappointing. Not least because in today’s world, there is no guarantee, anywhere, that it won’t happen to you in your lifetime.
