I'm gonna keep being annoyingly preachy on this. Growly is the product of a justice system that cares more about the money it can make by encouraging recidivism than it is invested is rehabilitation. If we want to see those like Growly stop hurting people, reform is necessary.

Otherwise all we can do is rest until Growly gets released again, or the next Growly comes along. These problems don't just go away because we sweep them under the rug.
-
I think this is very important, and I also think it's important for the fandom to work on how it handles these situations better as suggested by Ash. The system is broken and needs fixing, but that doesn't mean we can't do work to protect ourselves and our own in the meantime.
-
Bingo. Prison reform needs to happen, there's no question about that. But we also need to address the issue at hand and take measures to fix it

What I wanna know is how he can afford to go to all these cons, usually at god level. Like what kind of job can he get as a convicted child predator
-
That too. Like where does the money come from?
-
He is a part of a large furry business that scams furry artists and sells furry art at furry conventions. He makes tons of money at furry conventions selling famous artists artwork. He also never pays the artists. This means he can easily afford furry conventions.
-
What business is that?
-
I forgot the name of it. I don't attend the furry conventions, but all my artist friends kept complaining their art was being sold without them being paid. If I didn't have brain damage from that coma I'd remember important stuff easier...
-
Oh are you talking about InkedFur, because that one is run by a different pedo sicko. (Sangie, not Growly)
-
Growly worked there before actually. Growly is no longer an employee I am guessing? If so, that is good news. I could use good news.
-
Ah, even then I don’t know if IF is as lucrative as it makes out to be. Either way, I’m glad people are pushing back against these monsters showing up at cons

We need a concerted effort to change the laws so that cons have the teeth to keep him out. Yes cons should be trying to keep people like him out, but under the code of law, he was sadly in his rights to be there
-
Afaik private events like cons actually DO have the right to bar access potentional patrons for any reason Some cons HAVE banned sex offenders, its literally just because Growly was giving tons of donations to others he was allowed in to them
-
They do and they don't, while legally the can ban anyone, without justification it can lead to a protracted court case, something most cons would like to avoid and they could always loose, gr*wly would have a case given the targeted harassment against him, sadly.

I always wondered how he was able to attend every single furry meetup and con no matter where when how far how much etc. Used to throw a furry meetup and he would always somehow show up. We didnt know about his past until after the MU disbanded. Bizarre stuff
-
I actually remember us finding out his past while gathered around a laptop in your apartment sometime after we took the meet to Magic Mountain, and we decided we just wouldn’t do it again. You were busy with school anyway, but in a way he contributed to that meet disbanding.
-
That meetup has potential until we found out a pedo kept showing up
-
Oh man, ya… I loved that meet!!! It was so good! Someone tried to do it again after you and it wasn’t the same, and then that one disbanded too

This. If he'd have reformed, great, but people were very scared of him when he'd go to cons this year. You'd have dead ass seen me chase him out of AC if he'd tried to go near a minor there. Thick lynx run-waddling. :|
