    Diyar Xerib was born in the town of Qaradax in Sulimania and joined PKK in 1992. According to PKK sources he was taught by Abdullah Ocalan. Xerib was also the first leader of Kurdistan Democratic Solution Party, PKK’s first political party in Iraqi Kurdistan.
