They're rainbows of sorts; the colors and specific meanings may differ, but the spirit is the same. :3

Now hang on a sec: How can you be transgender AND non-binary?
You cant transition into another gender if you don't identify as a binary gender. It would be like trying to go nowhere, its an oxymoron.

The 'trans' in transgender isn't trans as in transition, it's trans as in transverse- 'crossing over', 'across from', etc. (That's also where you get 'cis'- 'on the same side' as one's assigned/birth gender, as opposed to on another side.)

In any case, transitioning doesn't have to just be going from Point A to Point B or Point B to Point A. Even many binary trans people don't go 'all the way' for a variety of reasons, and some aren't in circumstances where they can afford to/be safe even leaving the point where they started. They're still just as trans as fully transitioned people. Same for nonbinary folk.

Point C might not be as popular a metaphorical destination as Point A or B, but that doesn't mean it's 'nowhere' or that you can't go there.

Excellent explanation, thank you so much!

(As an aside, the white stripe on the trans flag represents nonbinary, genderqueer and genderfluid identities!)

How can you transiti..."Go" to non-binary if it's made up.

Downvotwd for the truth. You can't transition to the opposite sex. Even if it crossing over, you still can't cross over to the opposite sex. It's impossible.
