ASRock Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming ITX/ac Motherboard Review

Box and Packaging

Tiny box for a tiny motherboard. Just the size of the whole package makes me go awww…. so cute!

ASRock Z370 Gaming ITX/ac Motherboard

The ASRock Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard is tiny and comes in a mini-ITX forma factor, measuring just 17x17cm. All the standard items you’ll find on a full size ATX motherboard is literally crammed into this tiny motherboard.

The LGA1151 socket is located where it should be, and so are the mounting holes for the CPU coolers. Space is a commodity on this motherboard, so what you’ll notice is that all the connectors are more closer to each other, than they normally are.

Due to its size, I think this motherboard is ideal for modders and HTPC builders alike. I can think of some great projects builds in my mind right now!

A Closer Look

The motherboard features two heatsinks that’s connected by a heatpipe and covers both the chipset and the mosfets. On the back of the motherboard, you’ll find a M.2 connector for SSDs and NVMe.

There are 2 x DDR4 DIMM slots allowing up to a maximum of 32GB of ram and supporting upto DDR4 4333+(OC) speeds.

The ASRock Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac is absolutely packed with connectivity. Bottom left picture shows … a clear CMOS button, 2 x Wifi antenna mounts, PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, 1 x Optical SPDIF Out Port, 1 x HDMI Port, 1 x DisplayPort 1.2, Gigabit LAN port, 6 x USB 3.1 Gen1 Ports (Supports ESD Protection)1 x Intel Thunderbolt™ 3 (Compatible with USB 3.1 Gen2 and USB-C Display)*
