    +1. If the Islamic Republic is ever brought down it'll be by it's own hubris (which I suppose you can indirectly credit the West for: had we not been so feeble for so long, Tehran would never have been emboldened into whatever lethal mistake it makes.)

    Mao's regime killed 45 million people in four years (1958-62) with a "staggering degree of state violence" as it tried to impose Communism on . Throughout the far longer, by-definition global Second World War, 55 million people were killed.
