    A monument to Ukrainian nationalist Zenoviy Tershavetsky was unveiled in Sambor, Ukraine. Tershavestky was a head of OUN in Poltava, served in Ukrainian Auxiliary Police and participated in the mass killing of more than 8, 000 Jews in Poltava in 1941.

    This is a monument of OUN’s leader Stepan Bandera in Stariy Sambor. In July 1941 members of OUN rounded up 32 local Jews and dragged them to the Jewish cemetery. There in presence of local intelligentsia with priest and a large crowd these Jews beheaded, cut off hands and feet.

    96 Polish villages in Volyn area of Ukraine were attacked on July 11, 1943 by Ukrainian nationalists from OUN-UPA. Between 60 and 100 thousand ethnic Poles - men, women and children were brutally murdered during 1943-44. Perpetrators are now heroes with monuments and streets.

    The largest monument to Ukrainian nationalists is 12 meters cross in Bolekhiv. In July of 1941 local OUN members killed 120 Jews in pogrom. In September of 1942 Ukrainian police together with OUN and locals again killed hundreds of local Jews and more than 600 Jewish children.
