There’s another solid workaround that works regardless of your session, by adding a value in about:config page in Firefox
If like me you don't like the #NewTwitter, this is how you can restore the #OldTwitter interface: 1. "More" 2. "Settings and Privacy" 3. "About Twitter" 4. "Directory" 5. "Home" tab

Go to about:config page on Firefox, right click > New > String > and give these details in Preference Name - "https://general.useragent.override.twitter.com " and in Value - "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko", then delete all the cookies of Twitter, login again, thats it.

i closed the pg and i'm back out. was working for 20 mins maybe twitter caught the loophole

So you have to be super careful if you click your banner it shoots to new, if you click name goes to homepage in original. At least so far. Sometimes seems to boot for no reason.
