Turkey, or any other X buffer country isn't 'turning to' anywhere. Both the US and NATO are becoming too confused and weak in balancing critical security policy areas in too many places. Blaming buffer countries is just a cheap shot that doesn't address the core problem.

Back in 2014, I was worried that my first article would sound too alarmist. Not only that it did not, but NATO is even more all over the place, with internal divisions and confusions impacting its ability to counterbalance against anything. But sure, 'Turkey is turning to Russia'
