Also from CNN's logistics calls with the 2020 campaigns: Candidates are required to leave their phones and watches in the green rooms. Each campaign gets 30 tickets. The Inslee campaign asked if the national anthem will be sung. It will be sung.

my vote: drop #1 altogether. Combine 2 and 3 and run two nights of debates. (although I'd swap gillibrand for yang in #2)

Gillibrand had less understanding of “it is another candidate’s time to speak” than any other candidate in both debates, and that was a competitive field. She’s the number one I’d cut in general. Gabbard is above both Klobuchar and Castro per CNN’s own polling, that’s the crime.

Fairly interesting choice to put someone who out-raised a tier 1 person by 12 million in tier 2. And outraised another tier 2 person by 23 million.

Tulsi Gabbard is ahead of both Julian Castro and Amy Klobuchar per CNN’s own polling tho so I’m not
how exactly these tiers were decided but it wasn’t just the polls. -
They use running averages for all polls, not just a single sources’ polls
