As it stands right now, the OSMC TGN Minecraft server is dead. The mod team simply has not done a good enough job in engaging and listening to the community. As much as I'd love to say that TGN is doing well and everyone is happy, that wouldn't be the truth. I'm not here to criticize the mods, I'm here to address the elephant in the room, the fact that TGN is dead.

The mod team has consistently refused to listen to the community, and as a result, TGN is scattered. The Minecraft server is a ghost town, peak hours during weekends in the summer used to draw upwards of 70 people, and now they are lucky to see 10. People with good connections or friends have migrated to Datblock and those who are brand new have no chance of logging on more than once. One of the only instances of zero people being on TGN occurred earlier today, and Reddit posts about the server have been less present than ever before. New players have no reason to stay on the server and no towns are active enough to grow.

Three months ago, one day after connor7000 resigned as moderator, he said that the sole immediate improvement that can be made to TGN moderation is that the mods must listen to the community. The mods have done the exact opposite and as a result, TGN is dead.

I love this community. I seriously, truly do. Each and every one of you are amazing and have made these past 4 months the best 4 months of my life. I mean this seriously, it's because of the community that I logged back on a second time, a 10th time and a 100th time. You deserve way better, but unfortunately the mod team refuses to listen to suggestions and cannot take criticism. The mod team hates TGN. This is a fact. The hate moderating, they are annoyed by the players and to them TGN is nothing more than a scar on the face of r/teenagers. You, the community, have proven this to be wrong, at least to me. I hope I will see you guys in the future. I hope that the mod team can pull themselves together, and I hope that TGN will see a second golden age. I just don't know if this is possible right now.

The mod team is going to have to make an unimaginably big decision soon, but sadly I cannot explain further. I trust that they will make the right decision when the time comes, and if they do it correctly I trust that TGN will make a big comeback. I ask that you, the community, has the same faith and patience with the mod team at this time.

I hope that TGN will rebound and everything will be fine. Ever since my ban, I've taken every action I can to return to the community. As many of you know, it has not succeeded. It is extremely disheartening to see people hack and get unbanned within weeks. However, I'm not here to whine about my ban, I'm here to tell the truth. The truth is, TGN is dead. There are steps that can be taken to revive it, and the mods are not taking the steps. The mods have refused to talk to anybody or even address the server's inactivity. Denying the barren state of TGN will only kill it further.

I will never truly give up on TGN. I will always make an effort to get unbanned. I will always stay hopeful that TGN will rebound. TGN has never seen times darker than this, and there might not be a light at the end of the tunnel. The truth is, we will never know for sure if we don't try.
