People freak out by reading the vague T&Cs of FaceApp. You know what? This is the exact same thing for all the apps you installed on your phone. Read the T&Cs of your other apps and I can bet you’ll uninstall them too. Start by Snapchat for example

These servers seems to be Amazon or Google servers which is consistent with the app itself. They rely a lot on 3rd party services, (

Got it. Why not do everything on the device re face altering? Rather than take photo to a server for processing.

Machine learning on the device has been announced at
@GoogleIO201X this year, this is pretty new. With this number of users, I can understand that they didn't switch to it yet. Also you might want to protect your intellectual property and keep your ML model on your server - 1 more reply
