It's really hard to respond to. In any case, this is incredibly important news, especially in the context of Twitter being the platform we use, and especially in the context of the pro-Gabbard Twitter troll army as documented by local journalist @realchrissyg.

So I guess it's safe to say that he's against war. I think some folks forget the extent to which Iraq - and military adventurism generally - was the formative political issue for people about Jack's age.

So why would he back someone who calls herself a "hawk" for the War on Terror, has advocated more American bombing in Syria, and praises Russia for its indiscriminate bombing campaigns?

Because Al Qaeda and ISIS are credible national security threats against the United States. The governments of Syria, Iraq, Libya and Iran are not.
