    My take: What all these alt-right European parties *really* want has nothing to do with “sovereignty.” They want to get into power so they can do what the Russians did — use govt to enrich themselves and their cronies. It’s an epic grift.

    Yesterday in Manbij, the Asayîş arrested a man selling “antiques”. While several of these look dubious, it’s notable that there are of course ancient coins in their possession. Millions of dollars worth of Syrian history is sold by these people every year.
