WHERE: Califur 2011, http://www.furaffinity.net/user/anuvia/
WHAT: I commissioned Anuvia for a badge at Califur on around June 4th, 2011. I was told it would be done before the convention ended.
EXPLAIN:
I commissioned a badge from Anuvia at Califur 2011 (I
even gave her a tip), being told it would be completed before the end
of the convention. It wasn't finished in time, but no big deal she was
going to just mail it to me. A month later I was told it was finished
and just needed to be mailed out. Now 6 months later I'm still waiting,
after trying at least 6 times to contact Anuvia through email alone.
This doesn't even count FA notes and shouts which she told me she
doesn't check. It's worth pointing out that it was only my comments that
she didn't check on FA since it only took our mutual friend a day to
get a reply from her in a note and I see her replying to comments other
people leave frequently. All this time she has been activly posting
other new art in her FA gallery.
All I can say at this point is
if she is indeed telling the truth and my badge really is finished, just
waiting for months and months to be scanned and mailed out, then I'm
utterly stupified. Anuvia could fix this whole issue by walking to a
mailbox but she has instead dragged it out for half a year and has
offered nothing in return for my money. I've tried time and again to
contact her with no success so now I'm posting here to warn others.
WHEN:
June 4th or 5th: Paid Anuvia in full for a badge and provided a $10 tip.
June 28th: First email was sent but the email Anuvia provided on her FA page didn't work. Attempts to contact her through FA notes and shouts were all ignored.
June 29th: Second email sent to another address I got for her. No response.
July 9th: Third email sent, still no reply.
July 10th: More than a month after I had already given her money I finally got an email reply for the first time from Anuvia. She told me the badge was finished and just needed to be scanned for my approval.
July 22nd: 12 days later there's been no sign of the scan of my already finished, already paid for badge. Fourth email sent, no response.
August 3rd: At this point Anuvia has been active on FA daily, posting new art and replying to other peoples comments and shouts. All of my comments of course are not acknowledged at all. Fifth email sent without a reply.
August 23rd: A mutual friend of ours offered to bring my commission up to Anuvia and see what the deal was. She replied to him within a day saying she would contact me, which she did not do.
September 2nd: Fifth email sent to Anuvia, I haven't heard from her personally since July 10th. No reply to this email either.
At this point I gave up trying to contact her because she kept posting on FA about money trouble and having to work at her family store and having no free time. This is still completely unacceptable, but wasn't worth the headache. When there was no lul in her posting new art on FA, however, it was too much for me to take and I sent her email number six.
November 9th: Email six was sent, also without receiving any response. This was my last attempt at contacting Anuvia before posting here.

It's tough to respond to emails when I'm literally preoccupied from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep; More or less I sold my soul to move back home after a sour relationship and I'm working 60+ hours a week at my parent's restaurant to pay my rent; It sucks but it's my situation until I can crawl out of it.
I did inform the OP about this situation prior to this though so I didn;t quite disappear on them.
It blows my mind that they would give a response to your friend, but not you. What the heck.
I hold no ill will, but it is another example of where her organization skills may be a little lax.
If you'd like to email me a ref, I'd be happy to make good on my end;
commissions.anuvia@gmail.com
Good luck, I hope you get your badge or (if it's not done, which I suspect from what's been said in the e-mails) refund.
I don't pretend for an instant that my commissioners deserve to deal with the lack of contact or tardiness, but I have made contact with all of them and posted public entries explaining my situation and asking for a bit of patience until I have the opportunity to rectify the situation.
I would like to state publicly though that you forgot to mention that I was happy to offer your a commissions of triple the worth you paid for to compensate for my tardiness; It is a somewhat important bit to mention given it shows I'm trying to work to resolve issues my lifestyle crunch has created.
She made two refund payments early this year, but I haven't heard or received anything since. I don't harbor any grudge, especially because of these (infrequency aside) refund efforts.
Sorry she did not finish following through :(
I *was* their inbetween, but falling outs aside, she never did answer me when I'd ask about progress for him, of if she did finish it, it was never given to a closer [location wise] 'friend' to me to give to him. He hasn't heard anything from her, has had her email, has tried to contact her, but I don't have proof as I only asked him again the other night.
If he still wants it, he's more than welcome to pay for it to be shipped; but I can easily provide proof that he'd ignored my emails and attempts to deliver the product.
I do understand my tardiness is inexcusable, however having known my internet access is limited you -did- have the means to contact me outside of it. At Califur, I gave you my personal phone number to text/call me and my google voice number (which is routed to my actual phone number) is publicly visible on my FA page in bold, pink, lettering.
As far as the badge goes, it is finished and ready to be mailed; however my scheduling rarely provides me with the opportunity to get to the post office; I work from 7am to at least 5pm -every day- and most times I spend well over 12 hours a day at my place of work given I work through my family. As of now, I don't have a choice on this schedule but I did politely ask you to bare with me.
While my tardiness is with reason, I do understand your frustration and I realize that my personal family life is none of your concern; The best I can do at this juncture is offer a refund + the badge (so you'll be getting the badge for free to compensate for your wait). I don't know how else to correct this for you, so if you have an idea I'm all ears.
Pardon my post; spelling errors and paragraph spacing may be off since this was all typed from my DS and it's a tough device to type on.
Just throwin that out there.
s anything, any art, any object from fursuit head to badge.
It's simply not enough to say "I'm busy." or "I can't get the time from work." You simple do not take the commission if you don't know for sure if you can send it in a reasonable amount of time. The multiple accounts on this post alone are disappointing, even if she's replying, I still feel a sense of neglect in the situations.
I am glad she's offering refunds. But when someone says "My only income is commissions." Then states "I work such and such hours every day." I tend to be skeptical. Doesn't that work provide an income at all? I don't quite understand those reasons or excuses for taking work and not delivering.
I don't earn a dime for the hours I put in at work since it's in exchange for rent/paying a debt; After I was forced to move back in with my family (a relationship ended on a sour note and I was forced to move) the agreement was that I would be working at my family's restarunt in exchange; however since then my hours have increased dramatically in order to help them cut costs (with the economy tanking, the mom and pop operation my family runs has been hit hard). I wasn't really given a choice in the matter if I wanted a place to sleep, so for the time being it was unforseen and unavoidable.
The multiple accounts exist because one is where I dump fetish art that most people wouldn't enjoy seeing and the other is for fursuit photos that most don't want dumped in their inbox. However, all three accounts are all linked via profile information and there is no hiding or dodging involved, what so ever.
In fact, all of my commissioners for the time being have been informed of the situation and have been directed to a number at which they can text or call me since that is the best form of contact. If I planned on neglecting my commissioners, I would be like the majority and not have said option.
I echo Neolucky, if you can't handle doing commissions, don't take them.
