In a media culture where journalists often act more as stenographers than inquisitors, @isoko_mochizuki asks more questions than most. That makes her a folk hero for press freedom in Japan. Here’s my story: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/05/world/asia/japan-media.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share … via ⁦@nytimes⁩

When Trump suspended WH credentials of CNN's @Acosta, journalists rallied around him. When Japan’s PM office criticized @ISOKO_MOCHIZUKI for asking questions, press corps was mostly silent. I asked them for comment, they refused to talk on record. Off record, they criticized her

By asking more than softball questions at government news briefings, “she is attacking these male bonds,” violating “what they have understood of what journalists should do at a press conference”https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/05/world/asia/japan-media.html …

In a western media context, "that’s like, ‘so what?’” says @davidakaye. But in Japan, asking a lot of questions-- and not taking no for an answer-- is meaningfulhttps://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/05/world/asia/japan-media.html …

The biggest problem of this article is that Rich stands in the situation of Mochizuki one-sidedly. The lack of an objective viewpoint is a fatal injury of the journalism.

This article doesn't mention at all that Mochizuki's worthless questions forces other reporters to be stolen the press freedom. I hardly thinks that Rich watched work of Mochizuki.

Because she's the one suppressing Japanese people's freedom of speech, cos she's a Soros-funded CIA operative, just like you scum.

Did you know Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa(Koreans) are not dead and it was just a hoax pulled by MOSSAD and CIA? I'm a journalist, you're just a hack, a whore and a treasonist. You should be ashamed of yourself.https://naomi-sayonara.hatenablog.com/entry/2019/05/13/221545 …
