In so many recent shockpieces on SDF problems in Deir, there’s a certain striking shallowness in the historical context woven. One gets the impression that evil Koords swooped down on an innocent Arab population, caught haplessly between Assad and IS, hearts set on a Free Syria
No mention of, e.g., Deiris sparking race riots against Kurds in Qamishli in 2004. Just innocent webelutionaries whose communities never ever served as eager mukhabarat stooges, just wanting to wave their Saddam portraits in peace. Nothing in the way of prior issues to see here!
Kudos to @shellykittleson for getting some Shaitat voices, legitimately among the few Deiri communities for which it’s fair to argue that there wasn’t a fairly large IS-collaborator section. But IS still isn’t gone from the MERV, one of the areas it rooted itself most firmly in.

In Syria and all other Arab states with Kurdish minorities we all know Kurds have been the ones who has brutally and barbarically oppressed the Arabs. Hundreds of thousands of Arabs and not Kurds have been slaughtered. 
Yeah Kurds have arabised their own towns and it was them that refused citizenship of Syria
