jealousy can make people say and do horrible things: here I drew two stories for petunia, one where she didn't become a witch, one where she did. (characters belong to J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series)
oh .. it would seem from the series "if ..." I would really feel good about my sister Llil, and I'm so sorry, I treat her, uh ... slightly negative ...
I did not realise I needed this in my life until just now. With!Petunia raising Harry Potter would make for such a compelling fanfic. Her family blood being the only thing protecting young Harry and her being overly protective of him as a result. cool badass mama/aunite bear Petunia!
i never really liked harry potter . most likely bec of Harrys relatives. i still liked the first 2 movies, tho. i would have preverded the ztimeline where petunia went to the school too
Your style is so lovely ! And really nice outfits !!! The itch time line is so touching, in particular the ones with the happy Lily's wedding and the last one.
Interesting to imagine her as a caring and loving aunt to Harry. I think I like the last picture of the witch timeline best, so emotional. But also the one where she's in the Hogwart's express with her sister, it's really cute seeing them together like this.
Ow. Ow. Ow-ow-ow-ow--my heart. A universe where Petunia isn't a vicious little woman is quite the blow to the stomach with the heart sinking down into it to cry. Good for you.
I love the concept, but honestly, as I looked the timeline over I was just trying to figure out why Witch-Petunia spent her teenage years dressed like a hippy... or Luna Lovegood, take your pick *shrugs* I suppose you were trying to convey that she was pretty much polar-opposite to canon-Petunia who was strict in all aspects in her life?
yeah, I guess whenever I image wizards in wizard robes, and then try to draw them, they end up looking like hippies , but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. and yes, I did want witch-petunia to be the polar opposite to witch-petunia.
oh lordy lord my heart weirdly it was petunia's story that made me the saddest in the 'prince's tale', not snape's. tbh i care very little for or about snape but learning about poor, lonely, jealous little petunia and how lily tried and was unable to save their relationship and how that festered until it resulted in harry's abusive upbringing... it's so tragic. this is obviously a very optimistic picture as petunia kind of has to be a shitty person no matter what... i mean, no matter how twisted up you are, you don't treat a child the way she treated harry. but she could have been much better and happier than she turned out. this is so sad
Nice work It wasn't just jealousy it was her parents clear favoritism towards lily. Talk about being neglectful and sh^^^^y parents. Lily appeared to not even try and understand how Petunia felt being clearly isolated.
well, I'm not sure. Lily and Petunia's upbringing wasn't explained fully in the book, and I'm not sure we should just believe Petunia when she says her parents loved Lily more: that might just be her jealousy speaking.
Petunia 'claims' her parents favored her sister, but the question is, did they really or was that just the way she 'saw' it? Jealousy can make you see a situation differently than how it truly is. I know this from experience. When I was younger I was terribly jealous of my sister because I believed my parents thought her to be the "perfect" child. It wasn't until we were both adults and were able to get together and talk it out with our Mother that I realized they were well aware of the fact that she wasn't. The fact of the matter was they didn't parade individual punishments about for all to see, they were between our parents and whichever child was currently in trouble. Lily and Petunia drifted so far apart by the time they became rational adults that they never reached the point where they could talk it out and settle their childhood problems.
I would really feel good about my sister Llil, and I'm so sorry, I treat her, uh ... slightly negative ...

this is a very interesting concept!!
