FIJ (Factcheck Initiative Japan) is a non-profit organization for encouraging and supporting fact-check activities of Japanese media outlets and citizens, co-founded by journalists, academics and information technology cooperation.
We daily monitor many disputed information sharing with media partners, and inform people of the fact-checking reports.
We have done fact-checking collaboration projects, in 2017 general election and 2018 Okinawa gubernatorial election.
We have also some technological projects which build an artificial intelligence (AI) system to detect automatically disputed online information, cooperated with Smarntews,Inc. and Tohoku University NLP Lab.
