Strategic campaigning: On last day of hitting neighborhoods Imamoglu visits AKP strong hold Sultanbeyli-where it gets consistently about 60%-and CHP only about 15%; then to Uskudar-Erdogan's turf. Getting his message out to all+not just own has been key to successful campaigning.https://twitter.com/ekrem_imamoglu/status/1142312604586663936 …

When rerun elections were called many among opposition worried their supporters would be on holiday—some summer resorts jokingly called for winter weather to discourage them—well it was not borne out, I walked from Şişli via Nişantaşı to Beşiktaş—all CHP hoods. Absolutely packed.

Imamoglu finishes his last rally in Üsküdar after daily visits to multiple neighborhoods. Strategy to visit as many places as possible opting out from massive rallies. These smaller ones were more personal and great place to reach out to residents who might not go to a CHP rally.pic.twitter.com/aii0kq6E5i

Absolutely and thinking back to last year, most of Muharrem Ince’s headline rallies were in secularist strongholds like Kadiköy and others in Izmir etc. Didn’t penetrate the AK zones enough (or at all). İmamoğlu has *genuine* mass appeal to do so.

Even in 2014, CHP took 11.502 votes alongsides 18.890 HDP, 23.575 SP. So gathering thousands of people isn't an unbelievable thing.
