7yrs ago today, 49 children, 32 women & 26 men were massacred by pro- fighters in al-Houla outside . Children were handcuffed, forced to watch their parents executed & many were then stabbed and/or beaten to death. **49 children** And al-Houla was just the start.

It's hard to read this. Bad enough for them as it is, and then for the law to come down on them as well - has our country lost its way?

    1. As a former career prosecutor, including 6 years as an Army JAG, this makes me sick. Please bear with me as this will take a minute: Our military criminal justice system protects the rights of soldiers accused of crimes as well as, if not better then, many civilian systems...

It was a pleasure to introduce Lowkey in as part of his recent tour, and to be given the opportunity to share the message of the Stop the War Coalition . For more information about Stop the War Coalition campaigns, visit:

Torture is banned under int. law, but gov says 'But torture works, so it's fine.' Bit by bit, UK is withdrawing from every UN convention that makes us civilised. 'No one is above the law' apart from their ministers. If they can get away with this, they can get away with anything.

I pity ambassador French - she prob already knows she's window dressing for gov pretending it's doing something for hum. rights. Am guessing, for instance, she won't be pushing for hum rights of Yemenis over Saudi arms sales, or justice for Assange under her 'media freedom' brief

This is horrendous. Along with Assange persecution in UK/US, this in France also shows media freedom to reveal state secrets in the public interest is under attack. Again, the victims are those who reveal crimes, their prosecutors are the people who commit them.

Double-speak frm BBC again. Frictions didn't 'arise after Iran withdrew commitments under 2015 deal' - US unilaterally withdrew & reimposed sanctions! Why is national broadcaster supporting US warmonger position? Helping J Hunt's arms sales pitch perhaps?

I visited Julian in prison. He has been ill, but his courage is astonishing. He is locked up for up to 23 hours. Let no one doubt he is a political prisoner, fraudulent events in Sweden included. His crime is truthful journalism. Shame on those who feign otherwise.

"Boycotting Israel... is antisemitic". UK foreign secretary trying to weaponise anti-semitism to defend Netanyahu's Israel. Quite incredible, actually, even by the low standards of the UK Foreign Office.
