I think for some Kurds who hold Öcalan in high regard, it is hard for them to accept that he is a useful tool of leverage utilised by the state and/or gov’t, and he is not capable or able to act in the interests of the wider Kurdish movement.

actualy your're wrong, but ı've no time to explain that.. better to read
@temirker 's last tweets -
Thank you, I read it. I do not think that makes my interpretation of the statement put forth by the lawyers incorrect.
@temirker analysis is boarder but ignores that this statement was done (while at the behest of the AKP) aims to shape HDP behaviour. -
I guess you mean broader, not boarder:) I still believe that Öcalan didn't aim to influence the HDP voters, if he wanted it, he would declare his position before HDP and PKK openly announced their support for Imamoglu.More diplomatic move than political.

Yes, sorry for the typo. I don’t disagree with you yet think it’s important to emphasise Öcalan is not free to express his opinions at will - this is controlled by the state and the government. And this has always been the case since his imprisonment.
-
I think they have been knocking his door for a long time and he resisted for the last 3 years to take any action. Now I think he found the right time and place to act.
