    "Even for the US, this move is meaningless. What is currently being done is only the formation of an YPG-front group upon the YPG model - a make up with no real life implications apart from the production of new flags & banners. The alienation of the local people will continue."

    "This move by the US and the SDF is not new. After the PKK changed its name in Syria to the YPG, they re-branded themselves as the Syrian Democratic Forces. In Manbij, where Turkey & the US had an agreement that the YPG will withdraw, the SDF formed the Manbij Military Council."

    As I said, Turkey gave an ultimatum to reply harshly if Turkish observation points are being attacked. The Assad regime tried and attacked the point in Morek and got its respond. If the regime doesn't stop its attacks, TR might send in heavy artillery.
