You mention the ghost pepper from India in your recording. My friend Dennis recently gave me two ghost peppers and two Carolina Reaper peppers. He grows them himself. Both varieties of peppers that I obtained from him were intensely red in color.

They were very good! For a meal, I'd cut up half of one and distribute it across two burritos--so a quarter a pepper per burrito. Mmm, yummy! Over the course of some days I finished them all in said manner. They made me sweat, yet they sure were nice!

But I'm from Texas, and us Texans use hot sauce as eyewash! And I've been variously accused of being a hot tamale and a firecracker. The actual truth of the matter is that I was born with a hot tamale in one hand and a lit firecracker in the other. Though I can understand people's confusion.
