    Ataturk is the aberration in Turkish history. Erdogan represents the return to the norm. Even the staunchly secular CHP sees that, as this thread points out.

    This applies to almost any other case as well: due diligence is always good. But it is particularly important in this context simply because there are entire countries, lobbies invested in starting a war. We can’t accept analysis, mostly lazy, as facts.

    So little info yet so much analytic certainty! Whether it's certainty that it was or wasn't Iran, most of these hot takes are reflections of pre-existing bias & little more. As true for Fujairah as it is today. Wisest is he who says I don't have the necessary clearance to know!
