Editing a comment in the mobile app should occur in the comment text area

Currently when you edit a comment, it bounces up the comment text area, but the edits are made in the actual comment bubble.
First, its confusing. Average users are accustomed to the content of the comment re-appearing in the text area for editing. There is no indication that the comment bubble is now editable, not even a blinking cursor.
Second, the text area bouncing up covers up the lower part of the comment, further leading the user to believe the text area is where they should be focused. It also covers up the cancel/save buttons.
I’d recommend following established U/I principles. Editing the comment should load it in the text area. The “Send” airplane icon could change to reflect the user is editing and not sending.
Another thought: remove edit & delete from the iOS menus and make them text or icon links beneath the comment itself.
