Erdoğan on S-400: “We won’t seek any permission from anyone on our defense needs. Didn’t we ask US to sell us a defense system? We did. And they didn’t sell us [during Obama presidency]. They said US Congress wouldn’t do it. Then, sorry but I’m not sorry”

Erdogan on F-35: “We won’t accept Turkey’s exclusion from F-35 programs based on illogical reasons. We will hold [them] accountable in every platform if they remove us. We want to discuss correcting the course with Trump before G-20 summit”pic.twitter.com/tNhSmqcoy7

Is he? Could you provide us some evidence? If we can call Erdoğan an Islamist, what do we need to call the Western imperialist leaders?

Libya gave up its military ability to defend itself. Look where that left it. Seems Turkey understands it must take responsibility for its own defence. And given its possible regular threat scenarios, the Russian S-400 is probably the most effective deterrent for now.

Point of no return is when the missile system is deployed in Turkey. Everything is possible until then
-
Indeed. As I have seen many times in Turkish politics, they will return. After the election of this month. But now they have to "fight" with USA to win the elections.

Respect, stay strong.

It is not matter of staying strong. Erdogan want to bill, turkey's incoming economic crisis to US. Economic failures of past years will be shown like US sanctions!!! And he will become one more time a hero of nation who resist to capitalism.
