Seating at work changed. While I luckily stayed at the same desk, my desk was moved a bit. Team leader can now directly stare at my screens (Yay, more micromanagement), I'm closer to coworker who smells like an ashtray and I'm directly in the path of his fan that he runs all the time.
Dates are going well but there is like no physical interaction what so ever. I express feelings by physical contact, can someone (nice and attractive) just please touch me!!
My idol boys will enlist this month and only two events left. The realization still hasn't sunk in. I know most people won't understand but going from seeing and talking to them several times a month to them being away for 2 years is so weird. I hope they'll be fine…
How many clothes does she go through in a day?! Is she potty training too?
I honestly have no clue! Her washing machine is making a squeaky sound so I always hear it and…like…whenever I do see her laundry hanging outside it's only several pieces though.

I know that :( I jump out of my skin at the slam of a door or loud footsteps.
It's the worst T_T
It's getting better the longer I'm away but man, a slammed door still quickens my heartbeat by a lot…
Sadly no (I don't think they even sell underwear) but some of their clothing is pretty nice :)
Definitely one of my favorite places in Japan!
It was super nice and I really enjoyed it!
Ah, beautiful. Was camping in the Swiss alps and Black Forest a couple of years ago.
Wasn't too much into camping when I was younger but we often drove through Black Forest! It's really beautiful!
Did you manage to see the Hirschsprung?
No, we missed that! We were camping further north near Baden Baden. We did visit castle neuschwanstein on the way there, which was absolutely crammed with tourists!
I love that castle so much! The tourists can be a bit much but it's just so pretty…

One of the nice things about dating in Japan: most guys will have at least a basic skincare routine!
(I cry every time I see those 50 in 1 skincare products)
I’ll have to get my ass over to Japan!
Downsides as well here but it's definitely nice that male skincare is so much more common :)
Platinum are also sold out. Gonna look out for those twitter tickets. Thanks!
You can also make a post on twitter saying you're looking for a ticket and attach the hashtags relevant. Worked for me before, a lot of fans exchange/sell tickets like that.
There's a ramen shop in Shinjuku serving vegan ramen (forgot the name, sorry).
The Greatburger in Harajuku has a veggie burger but you'd have to confirm if it's 100% vegan. The donut shop next to it is supposed to have vegan donuts as well!
I'd also recommend the "smile_veg" account on instagram, she goes around Tokyo trying out all kinds of vegan foods!
Most of 2PM's promotions.
Korean ones were often half assed and the Japanese ones are ridiculous in terms of milking fans for money.
Not in Nagano anymore. Boo.
Also, stockings plus slippery floor made climbing up and down Matsumoto a real adventure and I was so nervous, I managed to pull something (?) in my right front thigh muscle which made walking the next two days hell.
And I found out I'm the world's biggest chicked while hiking on Kamikochi. Monkey mom plus baby decided to appear out of nowhere and take a break on the trail. My brain decided it's time for unnecessary panic and I hurried back and then finally manage to pass by her almost running 🤦🤦 So now the only picture I got is from when I was way past her and you can't even see the baby 🤦🤦
Finally, me, Miss "wearing sunscreen every day is so important!!", managed to get a sunburn…
Boob sweat ugh
I've come to a point in life where I don't even know if bras make it better or worse…
2PM are far past their peak years and have been forgotten by most people spare one or two members like Taecyeon. I guess at least those of us who still like them will get to enjoy them in (relative) peace though.
At least Japan does still love them. Pretty much anyone I talk to, idol fan or not, knows who they are.
I'm so sad how much JYP has fucked them over and used them as a cash cow but I still do believe that they'll come back and I can't wait for it!
Salad. Of all kinds. Just throw together your favorite veggies, beans, add tofu (eggs/meat/fish if you eat that) and nuts and finally a nice dressing. If you wanna be extra lazy, Niku no hanamasa sells a frozen salad mix.
Chili. My recipe is probably not "original" but it's one of my "I can't be arsed to actually cook but want something tasty" meals.
Garlic, onions and soy meat in a pan, add tomatoes, beans and corn. Add spices of your liking.
Pasta sauces. Usually I start out with a tomato base (garlic, onions, tomatoes) and go from there. You can add meat, olives, veggies, etc.
Veggies and tofu stir-fry (make sure to drain tofu).
Curry and Nabe in winter. These are super easy recipes you literally just throw everything in a big pot and cook it. For curry, fry everything then add water and then curry cubes. For nabe, just put everything in a pot and add your soup base, I usually go for whatever I feel like mostly including soy sauce, Morin, etc
Semolina porridge for the morning. A classic from back home. Warm up soy milk and stir in semolina little by little until you have the consistency you want. It's fool proof! Can be served with fruits, jam, sugar-cinnamon, etc.
Hiyashi chuka for summer. Cut up toppings and boil noodles. Cool noodles, put toppings on top and pour over sauce.
Cucumber salad: cut cucumber and add rice vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, soy sauce and mentsuyu.
As the daughter of divorced parents who had to deal with "only one parent should/can participate" events: please don't let the opinion of other people prevent you from being there!
I think your concerns are legitimate and you should bring them up with your daughter but there is nothing more heartbreaking than having to decide between two parents in important moments in life. I hope it all works out!
I might have to grab it! My store has a whole display shelf of the momopuri line including a jelly mask and I’ve been eyeing it all week
I got the whole line and love all of it! I haven't tried the cooling mask yet but it is hot enough to finally try it.
Looks like I’m going shopping after work haha the employees at that store probably think I’m crazy. I manage to find a new product every time I’m there.
I'm the same. I usually have my hands full with swatches and then buy like 2 things 😂

I’m actually surprised that this was a thing in the UK and Canada just a few years ago. That being said, I really do not see many high heels looking around as I write this in my commuter train.
There is a thing where women wear flats/comfortable shoes on their commute but still switch to high heels at their work place.
Just came back from the delay viewing, it was such a nice concert!
You could really feel how happy and honored they felt to have been able to perform there!
Something good on the job front?
Got contacted by someone with something interesting (don't wanna jinx it but be sure I'll post here if it works out!)
Fingers crossed.
Thank you :)

This topic was once brought up with a group of friends at a small home party in Tokyo, every single Japanese woman of the 10+ there (average age then was probably 30) had some experience of being sexually assaulted on the train. Ranging from gropes to more-than-gropes. If my memory serves, a handful said they confronted their attackers, most of them attempted to move away, none asked for help and no one reported anything.
When a guy tried to drag me into a sideways alley in the middle of Ikebukuro and I loudly protested, not even one person stopped to help.
This is probably a prejudiced view but I don't feel like calling for help would have any effect.
From the conversations we've had, I reckon 100% of Japanese women I have met in my decade in Japan have been groped on a train at some point in their lives. A student of mine once told me that getting groped was like a rite of passage for young girls, and that those girls who hadn't been groped sometimes felt inadequate, like "aren't I pretty enough to be touched on a train?" Easily one of the most depressing things I'd ever heard.
Of course they (hopefully) realise later that it's 100% the guys fault, and says nothing about them or their worth. But still.
So yeah, 14% per year seems low if anything.
I've experience more sexual assault/harrassment in my 3 years in Tokyo than I have in 27 years back home. Pretty much every woman I met here has at least one scary story.
I'm not saying this necessarily means it's worse in Japan than anywhere else but it is frightening how "normal" it is. Awareness is slowly rising, I really hope things will change.
Going there next week, so excited!
I've tried preparing my own lunch box VS the usual restaurants near the office, and in the end, it appears that it's not worth the hassle for these two reasons:
It costs the same if you want to eat something healthy enough.
The time spent on buying the stuff, then preparing it, then cleaning afterwards is too much considered there is no gain in terms of overall cost.
I've tried at least.
Salad plus tofu I made for this week's lunch is less than 300 Yen per portion.
I guess it largely depends on how frugal you shop, how you eat and how you see cooking (to me it's fun, not work).
Same for me. Broccoli here costs 210 yen and 10 eggs are around 210 yen too. I am better off eating out as I can save time and the cleaning work.
Unless I want to eat healthy (vege only) then I will cook in home
500g frozen broccoli is ~300 Yen at Niku no Hanamasa.

Saturday was 3rd date with the guy, we went to the Klimmt exhibition and had nice Italian dinner.
It's slow burning (especially since that whole dating phase isn't really a thing in Germany and I'm still getting used to it) but I do enjoy spending time with him a lot! He's very open-minded, thoughtful (he made sure to pick a restaurant that has vegetarian options!), he actually listens to what I'm saying and it's possible to have deeper conversations. Looking forward to see him again :)
Sunday was Pokémon Go special raid day and I got two shiny Lapras <3
Rest of the day was chilling at home and I tried a no bake granola recipe I found. Sadly a bit soggy (and more expensive than store bought one) so I'll probably turn it into bars or energy balls but it was a fun experiment!
Edit: totally forgot, I got some seeds from Daiso and planted them on Saturday! Me being me I ignored the instructions for the most part and just went to town so no idea if anything with actually grow but looking at my two pots in front of my door is getting me all excited!
Grats on the new boy! So what do you in Germany? One date then marriage proposal? Banging boots?
Haha, we're not that fast XD
But in general our dating phase is much shorter, after just a few dates you generally decide if you're in a relationship or not. It actually never really felt like a whole phase to me, which is why it was a bit confusing at first here because I wasn't used to this state that seemed to me as something "in-between".
I got used to it a bit more now and can relax and just enjoy it :)

Hey!
I'm a fan as well and will plan to try to get a ticket. If you want, I can try to get two tickets but I have to warn you, that it usually doesn't work out for me in the general sale…
There's also the chance of looking for tickets over twitter (in Japanese).
UV covers for your window, there’s both a mirror kind and a white cutout kind, i apply both. blackout curtains inside and those reed mats hanging outside.
My curtains can block out the light (not sure if they are UV curtain though) but then the only other source of light I would have in the whole apartment is a very tiny window on the other endof the apartment in the kitchen.
if you still want light, try the UV film. but darker = cooler, generally. i’ve become a cave creature
Didn't open the curtains this morning so I'll see how the apartment feels this evening!
It just sucked a bit this weekend as I was actually spending a lot of time at home for once…

You can check out Lupicia stores, they have a lot of different teas both standard ones and interesting flavors/mixes.
