[Sprint/GiddyGiraffe] (fix): group chat closes when scrolling on mobile web

closes #1394

The issue was caused by Chrome's navigation bar (dis)appearing on scroll, which triggered the window:resize event ( https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2016/12/url-bar-resizing )
