#SRO | Abdel Basset Sarout was born in January 1992 in an old middle class family. He joined as professional goalkeeper the Karamah club and was considered a future player for the national team. He left his position inside the club to join the revolt in #Homs in spring 2011 (2).

#SRO | He led hundreds of protests until may 2014, resisting the siege of the Old #Homs for years, refusing the defeat, with his Bayada Martyrs Battalion. The regime accepted him to be evacuated in May 2014 toward N-#Homs where he was in rivalry with #Nusra front (3).

#SRO | The fall of N-#Homs led another time Sarout to leave and arrived in Greater #Idlib. There, his group dissolved for another and joined Faylaq ash Sham. He participated to the civilian uprising renewal protests in autumn 2018 to support revolution, with public songs (4).
