most of these villages were rebel-held,some were SDF held,but what is your point,SDF attacked Tal Rifaat in conjunction with the regime offensive to reach Nubl and Zahraa
My point is your claim that attacks were "unprovoked" is disingenuous. Might fool someone new to following the situation, but you and I know better. There had been fighting between the pro-Turkey FSA and the anti-Turkey FSA &YPG in the area a long time. Also, what @4rj1n says

The attacks in Nov 2015 were in response to rising tensions between SDF and The rebellion,a lot of it came as a result of leaks that the SDF was preparing to launch an attack on Rebel-Held North Aleppo Countryside supported by Russian Airpower,I covered it

Rebels needed a breathing space,and ISIS was the one controlling the area, that regaining North Aleppo Countryside from Souran to Jarablus was paramount,for the rebellion,also the rhetoric of most rebel supporters came as a result of SDF aggression against North Aleppo rebels
