So I see an ad on FA for some place called "The Furry Den" and I decide I should keep up with what the fandom's doing and check this site out, maybe it will be the new Furnation! I land on the main page and oh, it looks like another forum site, no big deal. Then I see that the head mod for the site has the icon of Demicouer's character making a weird face in the water with the text "guys.... i think there's a faggot in the pool" on it. Lotsa intarweb lolz in that pic, huh?

Depending on your point of view it also feels like a directed insult towards the artist and their partner who is the other character in the image that's from as well.
Anyhow.. I do not think they were thinking for had they been thinking they would of thunk with more thought than the thoughts they had thunk it would seem.
I don't think it's a directed insult, it's just a 4chan/lulz-ism that some dumbass /b/tard made because when they saw the comic page that the image comes from they were like "oh wow, that facial expression is priceless, and I hate furfags, so I'll make a snarky comment about fags in the pool!" They just loaded up their warez copy of PhotoShop CS2 and added some text and posted it up to a board for kool kid kred and it spread from there. Regardless of it's origin, to specifically choose THAT IMAGE out of millions to choose from in order to represent one's self as the head mod of a site... Well, it frames your site in a certain context, let's put it that way.
The first part of your reply is completely off the track from what my comment was about. But anywho, agreed on the second part, using such an image for a person in that position isn't the wisest of choices
