    One of the conspiracy theories around the Kennedy murder goes that JFK wanted to prevent Israeli nuclear waeapons at all cost and even planned to bomb Dimona. The Mossad is said to have planned and financed, not executed, the Kennedy plot together with the US mafia who also hated Kennedy. There is no solid evidence whether this is true or not. Several internet pages claim that Kennedy´s successor Lyndon Johnson had Jewish ancestors and initiated the close cooperation between the US and Israel. Since the assassination happened 50 years ago and is still shrouded in mystery, the truth may never be known.

      Especially when you considerer that the real heads of the US Mafia were actually Jewish. Also Kennedy was also trying to get AIPAC (or it's predecessor) to register as an agent of a foreign government, this would have severely limited it's power and it's access to the US government.
