This may be an acceptable reply if Assange's conditions were similar to that of Syrian detainees. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I doubt Assange has been whipped, electrocuted, mutilated, raped, or starved? If not, then shouldn't the severity of the case determine your focus?

Yes silencing Assange today might be one man but it represents silencing millions in the future and preventing the exposure of war crimes and corruption of our political system. Syria will always be there to go back to, Assange won't be.
